About us

At the IDARTO Centre, we believe that psycho-emotional health is one of the most important cornerstones of a fulfilling life. Our mission is therefore to promote psychological literacy (psychological literacy) and emotional self-help, self-care (self-help, self-care) skills We make learning psychology-based knowledge and tools accessible, understandable and usable in everyday life, with a particular focus on people and groups who face increased psycho-emotional stress in the context of chronic illness.

We collect, systematise and explain psychological principles, provide training in psychological tools and introduce psychoeducational interventions. We provide psychological support when needed.

Daiga Katrīna Bitēna

Daiga Katrīna Bitēna

Clinical and health psychologist

Provides individual psychological counselling for adults, psychoeducation and psychoeducational materials. At Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) she is working on her PhD thesis on the importance of spirituality in the lives of oncology patients. Co-founder of IDARTO Centre.

Lāsma Poļikeviča

Lāsma Poļikeviča

Co-manager of the MOM programme

Trained to run the MOM group in collaboration with a certified psychologist and develop psychoeducational materials. She is working on her Master's thesis at the University of Latvia (UL) on the relationship between the feeling of being a false worm and emotional exhaustion. Co-founder of IDARTO Centre.

Māra Lasmane

Co-manager of the MOM programme

Trained to run a “MOM” group in collaboration with a certified psychologist. She is working on her master's thesis at Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) on the use of self-help practices in groups of patients with chronic diseases.

Trained to run a MOM group in collaboration with a certified psychologist. Educator and psychodrama specialist working with psychodrama methods in an educational and personal development context.

The meaning of the word “idārto”

“IDARTO” is not a random word

It is a call to think differently, to live more consciously and to reinvent ourselves. The IDARTO Centre is a space where psychology, consciousness and meaning meet.

Social entrepreneurship

Most of the products and offers developed by the IDARTO Centre are aimed at strengthening and preventing everyday emotional health. They are available to anyone who wants to develop psychological literacy and learn self-help and self-care skills.

At the same time, as a social enterprise, IDARTO Centre pays special attention to people with chronic diseases (e.g. oncological, cardiovascular, chronic pain, etc.), whose everyday life is often associated with increased psycho-emotional stress and a greater need for structured emotional self-care.
